This past week, around Newalla felt like tornado season finally clocked in for real. We had a couple of rounds of storms roll through the 74857 area—nothing catastrophic here locally, but definitely enough thunder, lightning, and wind to get your attention, especially at night. You could feel that shift midweek where the air got heavier, the sky turned that darker gray-green, and suddenly everyone’s checking the radar and listening a little closer for sirens. Between the storms, it’s been warm and muggy, with that classic Oklahoma humidity starting to creep in. Folks have been squeezing in yard work between rain chances, picking up limbs, and making sure things are tied down—because this time of year, it only takes one storm to remind you how fast things can change.

❓ Question of the Week

Did you actually go sit in your safe place during the storms this week… or were you standing outside watching the sky like the rest of us?

😂 Joke of the Week

Why don’t tornadoes ever get invited to parties around here?

Because they always show up unannounced…
make a huge scene…
and leave everyone picking up the mess 😄
